CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Flexibility for Our Students
We understand that life can be busy. To support our students, we offer the following:
- For Group Classes: We allow for two missed classes per term without them being counted toward your 10-week block. This ensures you get the full value of your enrolment even if something unexpected crops up.
- For Individual Classes: We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Classes cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full, as this time has been specifically reserved for you and cannot be reassigned at short notice.
Medical Exceptions
In the event that you are unable to attend at very short notice due to illness (verified by a medical certificate), a full refund or a credit note for a future term will be provided. Your well-being is our priority.

Our curriculum is comprehensive. We provide intensive preparation for the Oral Exam (which accounts for 25% of your total grade), Aural (listening) comprehension, and Written Expression. We focus on high-scoring vocabulary and the complex grammatical structures (like the Subjunctive) that examiners look for in H1 candidates.
Why choose small groups over large-scale grinds halls?
In a typical grinds hall, a student is just a face in a crowd of 50. At the Dublin Institute of Spanish, our groups are strictly limited to 5 students. This allows for constant participation, personalised feedback on written work, and—most importantly—significant time to practice speaking, which is impossible in larger settings.
What happens if a student misses a class?
We know the Leaving Cert year is demanding. To support our students, we allow for two missed classes per 10-week term without them being counted toward the block. This provides flexibility for study clashes or school events.
Do you provide materials and mock exam practice?
Yes. We use curated materials that align with the latest State Examination Commission (SEC) trends. Students practice with past papers and receive professional “mock” oral assessments to build confidence for the real exam day.
Can I book individual lessons if I need extra help with the Oral?
